Process and Outcome
A simple setup using Houdini's Vellum Grain system to create the sand-reveal effect. The real challenge, however, was rendering millions of individual grains of sand. The solution came through Maxon's Redshift proxy system, combined with efficient instancing techniques that made the vast particle count manageable.
